歐洲特有的日照角度穿入斜窗，灑在屋內的黑膠唱片、掛畫、書籍、單人椅上，反射出創意心靈與城市肌理交融而成的清奇光芒。Nabokov 稱書中照片為室內空間的「肖像」，132 頁的寶麗萊影像如實呈現 2000 年代初期的巴黎社會面貌，包括法國時尚設計師 Yves Saint Laurent、影壇巨星 Gérard Depardieu、時尚編輯 Carine Roitfeld、傳奇室內設計師 Andrée Putman、美國攝影師 Nan Goldin 等諸多藝文圈人士的生活空間盡在其中。

Dominique Nabokov 生於法國巴黎，起先因丈夫工作緣故而經常往返巴黎、紐約和柏林，自 1980 年開始擔任攝影助理，其後自立門戶並專注於拍攝肖像與紀實攝影，從與眾不同的角度為當代小說家、詩人、劇作家、演藝圈人士留下影像紀錄，並憑藉在藝文領域的貢獻獲頒法國藝術與文學榮譽勳章。Nabokov 的作品散件於 New Yorker、Vogue、Vanity Fair、Le Monde、Le Nouvel Observateur 等英、法文雜誌，已出版的代表作為《New York Living Rooms》、《Paris Living Rooms》與《Berlin Living Rooms》。
